Things That Make Me Happy

We only have [approximately -- OPSEC, people!] five months before my honey gets home from this stupid deployment. I’m proud of him, and I support what he does, but damn it, I want him home.
Obama … thank you for finally stepping it up a notch. Benefits for the same sex partners of federal employee’s? FINALLY doing something to prove why I voted for you. Please, keep it up. [And before some of you get your panties in a twist about this, just remember that a) not ALL SAME SEX COUPLES are getting benefits -- only those of federal employees. And b) I don't want to hear this whole "but my boyfriend/girlfriend doesn't get benefits just because we're together, waa waa waa ... it's called Common Law Marriage, and some states recognize it. Some. Not all. And yeah, the IRS recognizes it as well. So you Common Law Married folk, who NEVER REALLY GOT MARRIED, but still get benefits and tax breaks?? How is that any different?]
Job Security. After today, I definitely have it. *Phew* life is about to get crazy busy.
