You Betcha!
Sarah Palin has announced that at the end of the month, she will turn the reigns over to Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell, therefore resigning from her post as Alaska Governor.
Halle-frickin-lujah.
But let’s be honest here for just a few moments, shall we? She claims that her family is more important, that she’s doing this for her FAMILY. But let’s talk about the magazine articles that she does, and the 7 million dollar book deal that she was just given. The talk shows. The news appearances. Really, Palin? For your family? Or is Governor status holding your celebrity status back?
The fact of the matter is that you’re a quitter. QUITTER. And talking about your bid for President in 2012? Wow, you just shot yourself in the foot. Because heaven forbid, you go up for reelection. Your approval rating sucks. Who would take a Presidential nominee seriously if she can’t even be reelected by her own state? And as somebody who slammed Obama left and right for his lack of experience, you’re going to quit your job, be out of the political arena for three years, and THEN run for President? Any chance you had of being taken as a SERIOUS POLITICIAN — kiss it goodbye, baby!
A commentator on MSNBC today said it best: If she can’t handle the heat as a Governor, how is she going to be able to handle being President? And this dude is a conservative.
But you know what … I hope the Palin Train is over. Maybe she will crawl into a hole and leave the rest of the world alone now. Maybe this is the end of Palin.
One can only hope.

Oh no! No more Palin jokes!! I think you’re right, while she could be at home with her BABY (or how about with her baby with a BABY) she’ll be busy doing speaking engagements. Prolly not fair to say yet, but only time will tell.
You’re so right, Sara. They just said on the news that her plan is to tour the country, the lower 48 states, while writing her book.
Yup — that’s doing it for your family.
Hoooo boy! And yeeeee haw! I said the same to my hubs when I saw the internets light up like a crackwhore after a job. If she cuts out on her job of governor of a teeny tiny state (population-wise, anyway), how the hell does she expect to hold up as president?
Perhaps her quitting is b/c she sees Obama’s success not as a result of the cry for change but of his “celebrity” status. And that’s what she thinks it’ll take to be elected – celebrity rather than intellect, forward motion, and the perspective gained from working on America’s issues.
